Tips on Creating a Wildlife Garden

A chemical free garden will attract wildlife including natural predators that will feed on pests and helps to keep plants healthy.

  • Stop using chemicals!
  • Don’t be too tidy!
  • Recycle garden and kitchen waste on a compost heap.
  • Leave part of the lawn to grow like a meadow.
  • Leave piles of branches, logs or bricks for shelter.
  • Build homes for over wintering creatures.
  • Provide a source of water like a birdbath or a pond.
